Greetings,
Thanks for visiting us at #sustainablesuburbian and welcome to the Solar power corner of our blog site. As we transition from our current property to our future homestead, we will update this page. We want to document and share the process we go through, in choosing out the right Photovoltaic system for our needs.
12/13/2016_ solar update.
We are less than two months away from getting our house listed on the market now. When the home sells, we hope to have our new land picked out so we can move directly onto it.
Our newly purchased RV (2009 Dutchmen Rainier 29Q-GS) will be completely run off our future solar mini grid. This is the only photo I have of it…lol. It’s currently at Laura’s folks house, not far from where we live. We got a smokin deal on this and it’s in amazing condition!
This is our current house on 1/8 acre. We decided years back that Solar would not be beneficial to this house and its energy needs. We are flanked by towering Douglas Firs to the east and west of us. We calculated about 3 hours of optimum sun exposure on our roof. So…we passed. One thing I will not miss is the endless pine needles!
Solar Installations 2014-2016
The most rewarding feeling is to climb off a roof, and see that array for the first time from the ground. It’s hard work. It’s dangerous at times, challenging at others and I can’t get enough of it! I LOVE SOLAR!
I work for Sun’s Eye Solar. We are from Tacoma WA. Below are some photos of installations I’ve done with them. Power to the people!
